is Mark's little soapbox, his street corner where he'll display some of his films, photos, writings, and any interesting news he has to share. He also has a store, of sorts, where you can purchase some of his work. If there is something you see of Mark's that is not for sale, get in touch and we'll work something out.

Mark A. Zuniga

is a filmmaker and a photographer. He lives in Rochester, NY and pays the bills by being a media editor and designer. In his spare time, Mark writes about the local film community for the Examiner, teaches a juggling class, and hangs out in his kitchen making amazing meals for one. Specializing in sound design and camera operation, Mark is available for your production needs. He also freelances as a photographer for live events or studio work.

He has collaborated with Eastman School of Music Composers, dancers from SUNY Brockport, jugglers from Sweden, and other creative folk from different disciplines. He's shared a laugh with the homeless, slept on cold concrete, hung out with stray dogs, and howled at the moon. Mark has worked as a DJ, camera and lens technician, sound recordist, sound engineer, and baker. He is a graduate from the R.I.T. Film & Animation program.

Artist Statement:

Empathy is my focus. I write character-driven narratives that try to bring an understanding to an aspect of humanity that is seen as alien, foreign, or unknown to the audience. In this expansive and strange world we live in, I hope my films can provide a different point of view to understanding the self. To discovering that we are not all that different, only our circumstances and the choices we make lead us on our separate paths. And it is the journey that will provide us our answers, if you're willing to listen.
